What's new in the rating
The rating was rebuilt. It now reads how far you went in a tournament, who your rivals are, and how new you still are — and a single loss no longer costs what a win earns.
Faster start
Your first 2 tournaments move your rating faster, so you land near your real level instead of climbing from 1000.
A win beats a loss
Winning gains more than losing costs. One bad match no longer wipes out a good day.
Rivalries count
Beating someone who usually beats you is worth extra. Beating someone you already dominate is worth less.
The tournament level counts
Every tournament carries a level. A strong field puts far more rating at stake than a casual one, so where you play matters as much as how you play.
How deep you went
A final is worth far more than a group match. The final group pays like an elimination win, but costs only a group loss.
Play to keep it
After 6 months without a rated match, the rating drops a little each week. It never falls below 1000.
